Retroshare is a private and secure decentralised commmunication platform. It lets you share securely your friends, using a web-of-trust to authenticate peers and OpenSSL to encrypt all communication. RetroShare provides filesharing, chat, messages and channels. This is achieved through direct encrypted connections between peers (friend-2-friend). All personal information is stored on YOUR computer, and only shared with your friends. There is no need to trust a central corporate entity. Authentication is provided using a decentralised web-of-trust (like PGP). Again, this removes the need for a central server to 'authenticate your friends. Features include: a) Graphical User Interface written with Qt4.2, b) UPnP / NAT-PMP port forwarding support, c) OpenSSL Encryption, d) Encrypted Chat & Filetransfer, e) Multiple simultaneous downloads / uploads, f) Search Friends, g) DHT support, and h) Instant Chat Messaging.
