Zillman.us Blog's 10,000th Posting!!
http://www.zillman.us/

When I started this blog using Pyra back in 2000 I never thought that I would be writing this posting saying it represents posting number 10,000! It has happened and I am pleased to say that number 10,000 is here and now! Blogger is now owned by Google and I quickly discovered after reaching 10,000 postings my archives of the first 5,000 postings disappeared as Blogger I guess has trouble with numbers in the tens of thousands .... interesting ....other than that unresolved clitch I have accomplished a goal that I planned ten years ago.

My Zillman Column for August 2009 titled 2010 The New Economy Analyics, Resources and Alerts released last week had a record breaking one day downloads of 3,000 and continues to be highly circulated and read. This is one of my best columns and relates to what is happening now and the future New Economy.

My V7N8 Awareness Watch monthly newsletter has just been released and is a freely available 62 page newsletter featuring Using the Internet As a Dynamic Resource Tool for Knowledge Discovery.

It is cetainly wonderful to accomplish goals but the true meaning is in the hard work and persistence that is required to accomplish. I look forward to writing more postings on search, research, knowledge discovery, data mining, artificial intelligence, and other relevant Internet happenings!

World eBook Fair
http://www.worldebookfair.org/

Project Gutenberg has been joined by The World Public Library and Digital Pulp Publishing, Internet Archive, along with Jim Baen [R.I.P.], in the creation of The World eBook Fair which hopes to bring you, and everyone else, a downloadable collection of 1/2 million eBooks in October, in honor of, what else, International Book Fair Month. Most of these eBooks are to be given away free of charge, but as requested by readers of The First World eBook Fair, more modern, and thus commercial, eBooks are to be a feature of The Second World eBook Fair. [After October 15]. Just two years ago The First World eBook Fairs came on the scene with about 1/3 million books and doubled to 2/3 million in 2008, and over a a million and a quarter presented last year. Now over two million. Created by contributions from 100+ eLibraries around the world, the largest collections are:

100,000 from Project Gutenberg
500,000 from The World Public Library
1,385,000 from The Internet Archive
250,000 from eBooks About Everything
17,000 from IMSLP's Music eLibrary
2,252,000 Grand Total

Since they are adding over a thousand books each business day, they should have little trouble in reaching their goal of 2 1/2 million by July 4-- once again doubling the total of the eBooks they are presenting to the general public. Screenjelly - Free Screen and Voice Recorder for Twitter, Facebook or eMail
http://www.screenjelly.com/

Screenjelly is a free service that records your screen activity along with your voice and lets you share it as a video with your friends via Twitter, Facebook or email. It's the quickest way to show what's on your screen and get instant feedback.Screenjelly does not require any software download or install. It is 100% browser-based and relies on Java to record your screen activity. That's why there's no faster, easier way to share what's happening on your screen right now. Just press the red button and start recording within seconds. It's that simple. Like jelly, knowledge is meant to be spread. But emailing can be a time-consuming and ineffective way to share visual information—like when you're trying to teach your grandma how to configure her printer software, for example. Instead of writing out a lengthy tutorial, Screenjelly lets you SHOW granny how it's done. Simply press the red button and record the process on your own computer. You can even add a voice explanation. Screenjelly will save your screen recording (and voice) as a flash video, allowing you to quickly and easily share your knowledge. But Screenjelly can do much, much more. The easy-to-use service also lets you tap into the Twitter community for instant feedback and tips. And it enables everyone—designers, coders or everyday consumers—to quickly share visual information with the world. This is the power of spreading with Screenjelly. DEMO - The Launchpad for Emerging Technology
http://demo.com/

Conference Format: The feel you get when you enter the ballroom at DEMO is unlike any other conference. Each company is given just six minutes on the DEMO stage to truly demonstrate how their product will change the world. No PowerPoint or flashy corporate presentations allowed. Just the founders and the technologies many are staking their careers on… it doesn’t get any more straightforward and fast paced than that.

Demonstrator Pavilion: While the DEMO stage is the place to see each technology unveiled, the Demonstrator Pavilion is where the real action is. It’s a perfect environment to network, research, form meaningful and strategic relationships, and—yes—even close some deals. Here, investors and potential partners can get a close up look at the latest trend-setting technologies. It’s not just a place for more face time but for more eyes-on-the-product time. Unlike at tradeshows, no demonstrator can dominate the conference with marketing collateral, signage, whiz-bang graphics, and alluring giveaways. The professionally managed and ergonomic Demonstrator Pavilion is a level playing field. And there is no bad spot on the floor. Everyone has the same visibility keeping the attention laser focused on the products, not on the size of the booth, funding, or corporate backing.

Networking Events: Opportunities abound to connect and interact with the DEMO audience on a more informal level throughout the show. Each DEMO is packed with a number of fun and rewarding networking events to help facilitate audience interactivity – including cocktail receptions every night; a CEO & Dealmakers dinner, where the CEO or founder from each presenting company and the investment community come together over dinner to discuss what the entrepreneurs have been working on; a rockin’ late night Jam Session and a special awards program.
