Natural Resources and Environmental Issues (NREI), first published in 1993, is a monographic series that recognizes its role in educating natural resources leaders who can then provide the guidance needed to increase the production of the earth's renewable resources while sustaining/enhancing the global environment. The journal is published in a series of volumes, each addressing a single topic and often associated with an organized symposium. The scope of Natural Resources and Environmental Issues (NREI) encompasses all subjects related to the terrestrial sciences, aquatic resources, and environmental studies. The monographic subjects often address critical resources in environments where scarcity influences management, quality of life, and the functioning of natural landscapes. They hope that each issue will serve as a model for understanding and addressing issues in wildland, agricultural land, and urban land ecosystems. Natural Resources and Environmental Issues is available free of charge as an Open Access journal on the Internet. Abstracts available online. Articles available in PDF format.
