Open Health News is a combination news, knowledge, and resource portal on all things related to open source in the healthcare field. They hope it becomes the premier site of choice for news and information about Open Health IT. One of their goals is to become the definitive source of news and information about ‘open source’ health IT solutions and community activities. Another goal is to help raise awareness of the many high quality open source health IT products that have been developed and the growing number of organizations providing support for these products. They introduced the Beta version of our online news site back on March 1st, 2011. They will continue to add new content and capabilities to their site over the coming year. Planned enhancements include an Open Marketplace where companies will be able to post various open source products and services for acquisition, a section containing white papers and report on Open Health for registered members, and a section on Jobs in the Open Health arena. This will be added to Healthcare Resources Subject Tracer™ Information Blog.
