Welcome to the Clipper Demo web site. Please note this is a very early part-working prototype and not the final fully developed toolkit. This demo is intended as a visualization aid to help illustrate the concept of the Clipper web application. Click on the ‘Clip Editor’ link to the left to try out a demo version of the tool. For best results please view the demo on a desktop or laptop computer using the Chrome web Browser, the final version will work with other browsers and on tablets and mobile devices. You can leave comments by clicking on the ‘comment’ link at the bottom of this page. In this demo version you will be able to create ‘virtual’ clips from preselected YouTube videos and add annotations to them. The clips and their annotations that you save will be stored locally in your browser for future reference. The final version will feature a server-based system for users to store, manage and share their clips. They have also created a screen movie of the Clipper tool in action that walks you through the main parts of the tool.
