Digital Object Identifier (DOI)
http://www.doi.org/

The Digital Object Identifier (DOI) is a system for identifying content objects in the digital environment. DOIs are names assigned to any entity for use on digital networks. They are used to provide current information, including where they (or information about them) can be found on the Internet. Information about a digital object may change over time, including where to find it, but its DOI will not change. The DOI system provides a framework for persistent identification, managing intellectual content, managing metadata, linking customers with content suppliers, facilitating electronic commerce, and enabling automated management of media. DOIs can be used for any form of management of any data, whether commercial or non-commercial. The system is managed by the International DOI Foundation, an open membership consortium including both commercial and non-commercial partners, and has recently been accepted for standardisation within ISO. Several million DOIs have been assigned by DOI Registration Agencies in the US, Australasia, and Europe. Using DOIs as identifiers makes managing intellectual property in a networked environment much easier and more convenient, and allows the construction of automated services and transactions. European Management Review
http://www.palgrave-journals.com/emr/index.html

The European Management Review is an international journal dedicated to advancing the understanding of management in private and public sector organizations through empirical investigation and theoretical analysis. The European Management Review provides an international forum for dialogue between researchers, thereby improving the understanding of the nature of management in different settings and promoting the transfer of research results to management practice. Although one of the European Management Review's aims is to foster the general advancement of management scholarship among European scholars and/or those academics interested in European management issues, submissions are encouraged from all management scholars regardless of national origin and manuscripts should not be limited to themes dealing with European countries. The journal's international scope is reflected in its international editorial board and its sponsorship by the European Academy of Management. The European Management Review is receptive to research across a broad range of management topics such as human resource management, organization theory, strategic management, corporate governance, and managerial economics. Contributions can also be grounded in the basic social disciplines of economics, psychology, or sociology. Articles can be empirical, theoretical or measurement oriented. Conceptual articles should provide new theoretical insights that can advance our understanding of management and organizations. Empirical articles should have well-articulated and strong theoretical foundations. All types of empirical methods -quantitative, qualitative or combinations- are acceptable. The European Management Review encourages the interplay between theorizing and empirical research in the belief that they should be mutually informative. The European Management Review is especially interested in new data sources, including models that test new theory and expand sample pools by including alternative approaches to sampling and measurement and samples drawn from non-traditional or less-traditional sources (e.g., from European corporations), and the examination of the validity and reliability of such samples. Schmalenbach Business Review
http://www.vhb.de/sbr/home.html

The Schmalenbach Business Review - sbr - is the international edition of the oldest and most prestigious German journal of business, named "Schmalenbachs Zeitschrift für betriebswirtschaftliche Forschung" (zfbf). sbr's goal is to publish original and innovative research. The journal covers topics especially in accounting, finance, taxation, marketing and neo-institutionalism, but is open for further subjects. Thus, sbr attempts to bring together the most important management areas. This approach of not specializing in one specific subject, such as accounting or finance, stands in the tradition of German business research journals. The sbr is edited by an international board of editors which guarantees a high standard of published articles. Besides the managing editor, Wolfgang Ballwieser, the editorial board comprises German as well as international specialists for finance (Wolfgang Bühler, Günter Franke, Kjell Nyborg), accounting (Stephen Penman, Alfred Wagenhofer and also Wolfgang Ballwieser), marketing (Sönke Albers, Peter Leeflang, Lothar Müller-Hagedorn), taxation (Ulrich Schreiber), organization (Arnold Picot) as well as the President of the Schmalenbach-Gesellschaft (Clemens Börsig). Chalk - Web 2.0 Collaboration
http://blog.chalk.it/

For many of us, a piece of chalk represents a time in our lives when anything was possible. A time when we were learning, building, communicating and most importantly - having fun. So when they decided to create a great collaborative web application, it seemed like the perfect name. However, like back in school, their imaginations started to run rampant with ideas. It didn't take long for them to realize what they really wanted. Something that takes us back - not to the classroom or playground, but to a world where you can create and collaborate freely, with friends, colleagues or even strangers. Designers, programmers, writers, family, friends - anyone. We all want tools that make us more productive, especially when we're working in groups. Chalk gives any team an immediate, real time collaborative environment thats accessible from any computer in the world. Do you want to share your ideas, code or graphics instantaneously with others? Chalk is already changing the way they work, and we're sure it will for you. Oh, and did we mention Web 2.0 yet? Chalk communication is in real time, powered by the excellent Ruby on Rails and AJAX, and it's fully compatible with Internet Explorer 5+, Firefox, OmniWeb and Safari. Not to mention the excellent social features we're still adding such as buddy lists, instant messaging and even entire community hub - all without a single page refresh and just a mouse click away. The end product is almost ready. They have come a long way in a short time, but they are about to graduate (hopefully with honors!). We hope you'll be there at the ceremony so you can take Chalk for a test drive. Until then, sit tight and tell your friends - after all, thats what Chalk is all about, sharing.
