Advancing Excellent Teaching in American Schools "Annenberg/CPB, a partnership between The Annenberg Foundation and the Corporation for Public Broadcasting (CPB) uses media and telecommunications to advance excellent teaching in American schools. This mandate is carried out chiefly by the funding and distribution of educational video programs with coordinated Web and print materials for the professional development of K-12 teachers. Annenberg/CPB videos help teachers increase their expertise in their fields and assist them in improving their teaching methods. The programs are also intended for viewers at home and students in the classroom. All Annenberg/CPB videos, however they are used, exemplify excellent teaching.
