New Tool Exposes the (Corporate) Ties That Bind
http://www.cspinet.org/integrity/database.html

The financial ties between industries and the scientists, academic and nonprofit groups that conduct studies on them are sometimes difficult to discern, but a new resource from the Center for Science in the Public Interest is making that job easier. The Integrity in Science Internet Database covers the fields of nutrition, environment, toxicology and medicine. The information contained in the database has been culled from scholarly publications, news articles, resumes, industry bulletins, federal agencies, corporate and university Web sites, conference programs and direct contacts. But the Center cautions users that its information is not comprehensive, and that because of the complexity of the subject and its rapidly changing nature, the database should be used in addition to other sources.
