Biomedical Digital Libraries will be an Open Access, peer-reviewed online journal that considers manuscripts on all aspects of digital library content and usage in biomedical settings, including academic medical centers, research and development institutes, and health care institutions. Biomedical Digital Libraries will provide a forum for discussion of the unique considerations of biomedical information needs, and both opportunities and constraints presented by health care settings. The research results of collaborative initiatives with information technology and informatics partners are appropriate and encouraged.
