Objects Search provides a transparent alternative to commercial web search engines. Only open source search results can be fully trusted to be without bias. All existing major search engines have proprietary ranking formulas, and will not explain why a given page ranks as it does. Objects Search is the first known search engine which cluster its own search results unlike other meta search engines, which get their search results from other search engines. Clustering Engine is a system for clustering textual data.This engine automatically categorizes search results on-the-fly into hierarchical clusters. Objects Search make use of open source technologies such as nutch (www.nutch.org ) and includes software developed by the Carrot2 Project. Objects Search also uses data from dmoz.org and ObjectsDirectory.com
