Who Will Win The Blog Race?
http://billburnham.blogs.com/burnhamsbeat/2005/01/the_coming_blog.html

If Google or Yahoo is able to dominate blogger traffic it would have a tremendous competitive advantage against its rival, but Bill Burnham, a student of blogging, speculates that some of the main blog aggregation sites -- Bloglines , , and del.icio.us -- are unlikely to be interesting acquisition opportunities for Google or Yahoo because "it is unclear what these sites really add to the existing capabilities of Yahoo and Google," since these sites focus on end-users rather than bloggers, and Google -- "and Yahoo already have plenty of end-users." Burnham predicts that the upcoming round of blog-inspired mergers and acquisitions "will be a nervous game of musical chairs as quickly placed wagers either pay off or are permanently bypassed. Watching how this, the Great Blog Battle, plays out will be entertaining indeed!"
