refBASE is a web reference database based on php and mysql that offers a web-based, platform-independent, multi-user interface for managing scientific literature, references and citations. As an example, the IPÖ Literature Database is an implementation of refbase that aims to provide a comprehensive and platform-independent literature resource for scientists working in the field of polar & marine sciences.
