Biological Knowledge

Biological Knowledge
http://www.biologicalknowledge.com/

Biological Knowledge is an Open Access, peer-reviewed, online journal soon to be launched by BioMed Central. Biological Knowledge will encompass all aspects of knowledge-based biological and biomedical research. As the amount and complexity of biological and medical research grows, so does the awareness that the end product of research must be knowledge, not merely data. Biological Knowledge aims to provide a focal point for research relating to biological and biomedical knowledge. The fields covered by the journal include, but are not limited to: ontologies, knowledge representation, and knowledge bases; reasoning, discovery, and machine learning; natural language processing and linguistics; history, philosophy, sociology, and anthropology; cognitive science, including cognitive and social psychology; and education. Senior Editors will assess the suitability of manuscripts submitted to Biological Knowledge. Those manuscripts that are deemed suitable for peer review will be anonymously reviewed by at least two peers, under the direction of the Editorial Board. Authors may suggest or veto specific reviewers. Everything will be done to ensure reviews are useful, constructive and timely. Authors will be kept updated on the progress of their manuscripts. This has been added to Biological Informatics Subject Tracerâ„¢ Information Blog.
