ARBS was first edited as "Revista de Ciências Biomédicas" (RCBm) in 1980. In 1999, it was changed to Annual Review of Biomedical Sciences. This Journal is supported by São Paulo State University (Unesp) and publishes invited or submitted reviews from all over the world. The ARBS Annual Review of Biomedical Sciences publishes original review articles surveying recent developments in areas of human, veterinary & animal sciences (basic, clinical or epidemiological approach). They should highlight unresolved questions and future directions and also provide an up-to-date synopsis for research workers in the chosen field.
