dohop ltd is a privately held Icelandic company founded in 2004. Its goal is to develop dedicated travel search engines. By early 2005 the first version of www.dohop.com was launched. It was the first flight search engine able to find flight connections with low-cost airlines in Europe. In November 2005 dohop announced another first; a flight search engine that was able to search both low-cost and traditional airlines together and suggest flight combinations where needed. dohop.com is free. It does not sell flights or take bookings. Search results include links to airlines and travel agent websites where the user can book the flights directly.
