http://cigr-ejournal.tamu.edu/

Publisher: International Commission of Agricultural Engineering The International Commission of Agricultural Engineering (CIGR) was founded in 1930 in Belgium and aims at networking regional and national associations of agricultural engineering. CIGR is an international, non-governmental, non-profit organization providing a networking system for regional and national societies of agricultural engineering as well as private and public companies and individuals all over the world. The main aims of CIGR are:

* to stimulate the development of science and technology in the field of Agricultural Engineering;
* to encourage education, training, and mobility of young professionals;

* to encourage inter-regional mobility;

* to facilitate the exchange of research results and technology;

* to represent the profession at a world-wide level;

* to work towards the establishment of new associations, both at national and regional levels, and the strengthening of existing ones;

* to perform any other activity that will help to develop Agricultural Engineering and Allied Sciences.

The CIGR Ejournal provides a means for communication and exchange of research results and other more general information among agricultural engineers and others interested in agricultural engineering subjects around the world. It provides an international forum for the scientific discussion of techniques and approaches leading to a higher degree of efficiency in agricultural production, the responsible use of natural resources, a cleaner environment, greater sustainability, value-added processing and other subjects of interest to agricultural engineers. It also includes economic considerations and policy issues of interest to agricultural engineers and other disciplines. Categories for consideration by the Editorial Board include:

* Original research papers
* Invited overview papers
* Papers presenting new software for agricultural engineering applications
* 1 or 2 page short papers on research in progress or other items of general interest
* Student reports
* Book reviews
* Letters to the editor, comments and critique of published material
* Other topics as may evolve.
