Power Technology and Engineering
http://www.springerlink.com/link.asp?id=106472

Power Technology and Engineering deals with all aspects of electrical power generation and distribution, with an emphasis on sustainable technologies and environmentally sensitive issues. Topics covered include construction and operation of hydroelectric and thermal power stations, non-traditional power generation, electrical lines and equipment, renewable sources of energy, and environmental issues. Power Technology and Engineering publishes articles selected from the Russian journals `Gidrotekhnicheskoe Stroitel'svo' (Hydrotechnical Construction) and `Elektricheskie Stantsii' (Electrical Power Stations). Articles are selected on the basis of their scientific and technical quality, their focus on the above themes, and the significance to a worldwide audience of this leading Russian research. Power Technology and Engineering is a continuation of the Kluwer/Consultants Bureau journal Hydrotechnical Construction, which was a translation of `Gidrotekhnicheskoe Stroitel'svo' exclusively. The change improves the scope of the journal and makes two valuable sources of Russian research available internationally. Each annual volume of Power Technology and Engineering will contain six issues. Volume 36 (2002) was published in July - December 2002, following completion of `Hydrotechnical Construction' Volume 35, which was published in a July to June year. From Volume 37 (2003) Power Technology and Engineering is published bimonthly on a calendar year (January to December) basis.
