Zimbio - The People's Guide to the Web
http://www.zimbio.com/

Their network of public portals are designed to help people quickly get down the learning curve on any topic of interest by seeing what other people are reading, saying, and recommending about the topic. Public portals are interactive, dynamic websites that offer a range of features including group blogging, member photos, links to favorite websites, RSS headlines, tracking of search results, and discussion forums. People use public portals to: a) Get informed on a particular topic of interest by using the organization and recommendations of others who have already spent time and energy getting informed on the same topic, b) Stay up to speed by getting a quick snapshot of what and who has been happening in the news, in the blogs, and in the Zimbio community, and c) Share knowledge, ask questions, get answers, and connect with like-minded people. This has been added to Directory Resources Subject Tracerâ„¢ Information Blog.
