This peer-reviewed scientific journal publishes theoretical and empirical papers and essays and book reviews that advance an understanding of mass media effects or processes with respect to health-related issues or topics. Submissions may have a psychological, social, historical or cultural orientation but must focus on mass communication and health. All theoretical and methodological perspectives are welcomed. Journal of Health & Mass Communication is available free of charge as an Open Access journal on the Internet. Content available in PDF format.
