Be My Eyes

Be My Eyes will launch as an app that lets blind contact a network of sighted volunteers for help with live video chat. Features include: a) Blind requests assistance - First a blind person requests assistance in the Be My Eyes app - The challenge that he/she needs help with can be anything from knowing the expiry date on the milk to getting help crossing the street; b) Volunteer receives video & describes - The volunteer helper receives a notification for help and a live video connection is established. From the live video the volunteer can help the blind answering the question the blind needs answered, c) Non-profit - all for love - Be My Eyes is a non-profit, put in this world to make the biggest difference possible for blind people; and d) Open source - go contribute - Be My Eyes is open source - see and contribute to the code on GitHub. This will be added to Accessibility Resources Subject Tracer™ Information Blog.
