Muck Rack - The Easiest Way To Find and Contact Journalists
http://muckrack.com/

Muck Rack's mission is to make journalists, PR pros and marketers more successful. Technology delivers news faster than ever. There's never been more potential to tell your story to the public, yet most of the tools haven't fundamentally changed since the first journalist directory named Bacon’s was mailed out in 1952. Press releases are aimlessly blasted out. Journalists are spammed because of antiquated media databases. PR pros get little response and can't measure the effectiveness of their work. This has all made communicating with a wide audience harder than ever. They decided to build Muck Rack after launching new products ourselves. Despite having a zero dollar marketing budget, they reached an audience of millions by building relationships with journalists who ended up covering them including the New York Times, BBC and Wall Street Journal. They needed a tool designed for how the media works today, not how it worked ten years ago. So we built it. Today Muck Rack is trusted by top-tier journalists, global PR agencies and Fortune 500 companies, in addition to many boutique agencies and entrepreneurs. Journalists use Muck Rack to: a) build their portfolio; b) get verified in Muck Rack's authoritative directory; c) track the impact of their work; d) keep up with news about their colleagues; and e) find career opportunities. PR pros, marketers and companies use Muck Rack to: 1) effectively pitch story ideas to the right journalists; 2) monitor what's being said about their company, client or competitors in real-time; 3) receive alerts when there are new PR opportunities or crises; and 4) track how successful their campaigns have been and generate reports to share with colleagues and clients.
